Guangxi

Guangxi's signature image is the karst towers of Guilin and Yangshuo rising from flat fields and the Li River. The landscape has been painted for centuries, but it still looks unreal in person, especially at dawn or after rain.

Beyond the river, there are ethnic minority villages, the Longji rice terraces, caves and quiet cycling routes. It's a softer, warmer corner of China that pairs well with Guizhou or Yunnan.
